Bus Information

Barrington and Nottingham

The transportation provider for Barrington and Nottingham students coming to Dover High School is Dail Transportation, part of Student Transportation of America.  They be reached at 1-800-711-5480.

Barrington Bus Information

Barrington families should see the information below from Dail Transportation.  You must sign up through the Barrington SAU and Dail Transportation if you are going to ride the bus.  The attached form must be completed and sent to Christine Cyr at [email protected]

From Dail Transportation:

Again, this year we are short on drivers. There is only one bus that is limited to 77 students.

Group stops will be spread throughout Barrington to expedite and keep the route as short and quick as possible.

Freshmen and sophomores will take priority over juniors and seniors.

Seats will only be assigned to students who fill out a bus form from and return it to Barrington SAU 74.

The remainder will be placed on a waiting list. This will be reviewed every 3-4 weeks. If a student is not regularly riding, the seat will be forfeited and given to another student on our waiting list.

The Barrington bus route is attached.  The Nottingham route is still being developed.

All questions can be directed to Dail Transportation 603-736-9786 or emailed to Ginger @ [email protected]

School Supplies

Students will be notified of the supplies they need by their teachers on Wednesday, August 31st and Thursday, September 1st.  High school students do not have an individual classroom or team list like one sees at grades K-8.  A notebook and a writing utensil will suffice to get students started.

Breakfast and Lunch for 22-23

We are returning to charging students for breakfast and lunch this year.  Free and reduced lunch forms must be filled out if students are to qualify for either of those options.  Reduced lunch students do not pay for breakfast.  Prices for 22-23 can be found below.  Information and forms are attached and can be returned to the Main Office at Dover High School.  Forms will also be distributed at the start of the school year.

Meal             Full               Reduced                  Adult

Lunch           $3.25            $0.40                     $4.00

Breakfast      $1.85            Free                       $3.00

The following link has the free/reduced lunch application translated into 49 different languages: https://www.fns.usda.gov/cn/translated-applications

The USDA has given any student who qualified for free/reduced lunch during the 2019-2020 school year (pre-pandemic) the same benefits for the first 30 days of this school year to allow for the processing of Free and Reduced Lunch forms.

Breakfast will no longer be pre-bagged. Students must pick up food from the serving area.  Breakfast will be offered from 7:00am – 7:40am.

Lunches will now have two points of entry- the far left and far right doors of the serving area.  One line will specifically be for pizza and the other line for hot lunch and a la carte items.

Food will be served on plastic plates with metal cutlery this year as was the practice before the pandemic.  Students will return trays and cutlery to the dishwashing window.

Students use their student ID as their lunch account number and must enter their number at the pay station for any food/drink.

Senior Parking Permits

Seniors may purchase parking passes Monday, August 22nd to Friday, August 26th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Student obligations must be cleared before a parking permit can be purchased.

To expedite the process, students should come prepared with the following:

  1. Copy of a valid driver’s license
  2. Copy of vehicle registration
  3. $177.00 in the form of a check, money order or cash. Please make checks payable to Dover High School
  4. Completed two-sided Parking Regulations and Application form with student and parent signatures.

Seniors may also purchase a parking permit when school begins.

Support the Health of Our Community and General Hygiene Practices

To assist in keeping individuals safe during this school year – especially with COVID-19 and other transmittable diseases in our midst- it continues to be important to practice good hygiene habits.   All students, and those participating in extracurricular activities, must make sure they do not share water bottles/drinking cups, do not share towels or clothing, and wash your uniforms and workout clothes after each use.

Remember – if you feel sick please stay home!!  Report any of the following symptoms to a health care professional, the school nurse, your coach, or the athletic trainer: fever, headache, exhaustion, muscle aches, sore throat, cough, rash, nausea, and swollen lymph nodes to name a few.   Please be proactive and exercise proper health precautions.

Student Default Password Updates

Please see the information below concerning student passwords from the IT Department.

The IT department is making an update to the formula used to create standardized student passwords. This update will affect student Google passwords at all grade levels and dover.k12 accounts at DHS.

Why it's updating:

This update is to unify the passwords used by students no matter the school or grade they are in. The update will help mitigate the need for password resets as the students move from elementary, middle, and high school; as well as when a student transfers between elementary schools.

What's updating:

Historically we have used the initials of each school for the start of each password i.e.  Dhs, Dms, Ges, Hss, Wps.

These will now be unified and updated to Dsd (Dover School District).

What's not changing:

The rest of the student password formula will remain the same, utilizing the student's two digit DAY of birth and the last 3 of their student ID.

Example: John Doe  DOB:10/20/2009  ID#:837493   password: Dsd20493

When is this update happening:

The update took place on July 29th.

Yearbook Pick Up and Return of Materials

Yearbooks can be picked up Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Students can also return any laptops, chargers, books, uniforms, and equipment at those times.  Members of the Classes of 23 and 24 are reminded they cannot purchase a parking permit for 22-23 if they have any obligations.
