High School Musical
Dover High School will present The Music Man on May 13th and 14th at 7:00 pm and May 15th at 2:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at showtix4u.com by searching Dover High. All performances will be held in the Dover High School auditorium.
Chipotle Fundraiser
Please see the attachment about a fundraiser being held by the Boys Volleyball team at Chipotle on Tuesday, May 10th.
Internet Safety
On Monday, May 9th our freshmen and sophomores will be attending an internet safety presentation given by Internet Safety Concepts. That evening they will be giving a presentation to parents. Please see the attached flyer.
99 Faces
During the Spring Recess, a display to raise awareness of mental health challenges called 99 Faces will be put up in the school as well as a mural created by the Mental Health Task Force. We want to let people know in advance so when they return they are not surprised by the visuals. Service Academy Nominations
Senator Shaheen’s office will be hosting its 2022 New Hampshire Military Service Academy day for students interested in obtaining a service academy nomination from a member of the New Hampshire Congressional delegation. This event will be held on Saturday, May 21st from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at the New Hampshire National Guard Building located at 1 Minuteman Way in Concord, New Hampshire. Please RSVP via email to [email protected] or call (603) 647-7500. You must have a valid state issued identification card or if you are under the age of 18 you must be accompanied by an identification card carrying adult.
All application materials for a service academy nomination must be uploaded to the senator’s online portal or submitted to her Manchester office by the close of business on Friday, October 7, 2022. Student Leadership Opportunity- New Hampshire Legislative Youth Council
As a statutory committee of the New Hampshire legislature, the Council was established by RSA 19k:1 and consists of 19 youth of ages 15-22 from across the state. The Council examines issues of importance to youth, ranging from education, employment, and strategies to increase youth civic engagement to safe environments for youth, substance abuse, and mental health. The Council advises the legislature through meetings with legislators, statements/testimony, and an annual report of policy recommendations.
This is an incredible opportunity that allows students one-on-one interaction with New Hampshire State legislators. Students learn how to engage with the democratic process, advocate for their beliefs, and lead their peers. The Council meets once a month in Concord for two hours.
The Council is accepting applications from May 1st - June 30th. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share this opportunity with your students.

COVID-19 Layers of Mitigation
We want to remind students and families that many COVID-19 protocols remain in place even though the masking policy has changed to recommended but optional. Please take note of these items:
1. Students are still expected to self-screen every morning. The screener is attached.
2. Students who display symptoms of COVID-19 still need a negative test to return to school.
3. If your student has allergies, including seasonal allergies, please be sure medical documentation is supplied to the Health Office.

Girls State
The American Legion Auxiliary-Department of New Hampshire will be holding its annual Girls State from Sunday, June 26, 2022 through Saturday, July 2, 2022 on the campus of St. Anselm College. Girls State is a week-long training course in the study and practical application of self-government. It is meant to supplement Civics or American Government as it is taught in high schools across the state and is planned so students can put the theories of American government as taught in the classroom into practice. New Hampshire’s Department of the American Legion will be holding its 75th annual Boys State from Sunday, June 26, 2022 through Friday, July 1, 2022 on the campus of St. Anselm College.
