PSAT and Preparation Opportunity- Please be aware of Friday, September 24th sign up deadline.

Sophomores and juniors can sign up for the October 13th PSAT in the School Counseling Department with Ms. Graves. The cost is $25 and the deadline to sign up is September 24th. Please see the attachment for more information.

Senior Information

The School Counseling Department will be hosting a College 101 and Financial Aid Night Presentation for parents/guardians of seniors on Tuesday, October 12th at 5:30 pm in the Dover High School Auditorium.  This is a great opportunity to learn about the college admissions process and review the ins and outs of the financial aid process.

Spirit Week Update

We want to thank the students for the positive participation in Spirit Week.  The weather is creating some scheduling challenges.  Please see the information below about changes and contingency plans.

Thursday remains Music Day and Friday remains Green and White Day.

Pep Rally- originally scheduled for Block 4 on Friday, September 24th.  It has been moved to Block 4 on Thursday, September 23rd.

Tailgate- originally scheduled for Friday, September 24th at 3:30 pm- if necessary will be cancelled.  Decision will be made on Thursday, September 23rd.

Dance- scheduled for Saturday, September 25th at 7:00 pm- if necessary will be moved to Saturday, October 2nd at 7:00 pm.  Tickets purchased this week will be honored on October 2nd or refunded.

                If possible a decision will be made on Friday, September 24th at 2:15 pm.  If the forecast is uncertain at that time, a decision will be made on Saturday, September 25th at 12:00 pm.

Dance Logistics

1. Dance is Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Courtyard.

2.  Tickets will be sold during lunch on Wednesday through Friday.

3. Students will enter through Door A-06,  the door by Stairwell 5, Engineering, Copy Center, etc.  Students will need a mask for when they enter the building and use the restroom.

4. The only part of the building students can be in is the World Language Wing to use the Career Technical Center bathrooms.

5. Students are encouraged to dress in black and white.  Professional or causal dress is welcome.  Please follow dress code.

6. Guests who have had a ticket purchased for them and have a completed Guest Form will be allowed.

7. No outside food or drinks are allowed.

8. School policies and procedures are in effect.

9. Have fun!

Athletics- The following changes have been made to the athletic schedule.  Please understand that many factors influence when games can be played or rescheduled including opponent's availability, availability of officials, bus availability, and field conditions. 

Field hockey and girls soccer will play as originally scheduled.

Due to the predicted weather Friday (rain, thunder, lightning), we are moving the following events’ dates and/or times.

  • Boys JV and Varsity Soccer:   vs. Spaulding – New start time will now be 3:30 pm for both games to run concurrently on the Bellamy Fields.

  • Girls JV and Varsity Volleyball:  vs. Spaulding – New start time for JV is 3:30 pm and Varsity is 4:45 pm in the DHS Main Gym.

  • Boys Varsity Football: vs. Spaulding – New date is Thursday September 23rd with a new start time of 6:00 PM on Dunaway Field.

  • Boys Reserves Football: vs. Spaulding – Postponed with a makeup date not yet determined.

COVID-19 Screener

Students are not filling out a Google Form this year as part of the screening process, but we ask that students go through the attached screener questions every day before coming to school.  Our first line of defense is people staying home when they don’t feel well.
